Tots & Parents Cargobike sessions
Get outside, get moving & have fun!
Fancy some fresh air and exercise but need to take your little ones with you?
Take part in our FREE Tots & Cargobikes sessions that we run with Wheely Tots!
No cycling experience needed! You don't even need your own bike. Bring along even the tiniest tots.
Have a go at cycling gently in the park with trained cycle instructors. We can pop your little ones safely in a cargobike alongside. Have a go riding the cargobikes (they are great fun!) or a 'normal' bike and get that heart pumping and those lungs working - gently!
Drop in anytime during the session. You don't have to stay for the whole time! We are usually based by a playground and we won't go far. We will be cycling in the park and not on the road.
Check out our Eventbrite page for the next session!
We're running Tots & Cargobikes sessions in conjunction with the fabulous charity Wheely Tots who do loads of great work with parents and toddlers.
We bring along cargobikes to a park, so that parents with very young children can ride the cargobikes (and a small number of folding bikes we'll bring along too) to get some exercise, fresh air and wheeled freedom, whilst putting their little children somewhere safe.... inside the cargobikes!
Think of it as a little bit like Buggyfit [TM] but with bikes! (please note, our saddles are very wide and comfy....) And it's not with personal trainers, it's with cycle instructors - we'll be taking it nice & easy.
Parents and kids will take it in turns using the cargobikes, so that qualified cycle instructors can help parents brush up on their bike control skills, and the kids will be well within view within the sturdy cargobikes. We'll be using the Trikes as well as two-wheeled cargobikes so that parents feel safe, and it will be in a safe environment, not out on the roads.
Sessions are free, but we always welcome donations so that we may be able to expand the service. As it's part of a Cycling Grants London funded programme, we need to gain some extra funding for future years. So if you are able to make a small donation, we'd be very grateful.
